During the design, the primary consideration was that the appearance of the building should reflect traditional, folk architectural values, organically connected to the landscape and cultural environment of the Tokaj mountains.
The central element of the building is the living and communal space, which serves as the heart of the home. The space is distinguished by a hand-laid, traditional tiled stove, which not only represents aesthetic value, but also enhances the feeling of warm coziness. This central element evokes the traditions of folk architecture, while also meeting the needs of modern living.
The use of natural materials – such as local stone, wood and tiles – further strengthens the building’s connection with the landscape, while also ensuring its durability and sustainability. Our goal during the design was for the building to harmoniously fit into its surroundings, and to provide the client with a timeless, homely living space by combining traditional values with modern needs.
